- Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
- Manage tax compliance and financial reporting according to the laws of each country, ensuring that the company meets its obligations in every jurisdiction.
- Prepare necessary financial documents and reports for international branches, including declarations for accounting, banking, and tax authorities.
- Financial Planning and Strategy:
- Develop long-term financial strategies in line with company goals.
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and manage resource allocation.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Manage the organization’s cash flow to ensure liquidity for operations.
- Plan for short-term and long-term financial stability.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Establish and monitor company budgets.
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient spending.
- Handle the complexities of multiple currencies, managing foreign exchange risk to minimize financial losses from currency fluctuations.
- Evaluate financial risks associated with operating in various regions, including economic, political, and market risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Supervision of Financial Operations:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial transactions.
- Ensure that financial processes and procedures are efficient and well-maintained.
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and training.
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure the professional growth of the finance staff.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Report financial results to the board, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Oversee investment strategies and ensure profitable returns.
- Manage company funding strategies and relationships with investors or lenders.
Specific Education & Experience Requirements:
- English level (C1)
- Proven experience in financial management, including roles in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. At least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role is typically required
- Good working knowledge of computer systems/applications; i. E. Microsoft Word, Excel
- High attention to detail and follow standard procedure
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete assignments within deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Familiarity with Moldovan and International Financial Laws
- Having proficiency Financial Analysis skill
- Experience in logistics company
