Engineer designer in mechanics

Frank Technology, a new Tunetanken and Scan-Plast branch in Moldova is an international company that develops, produces and markets a large number of different products manufactured wholly or partly in fibre-reinforced composite materials.

We are looking for a skilled engineer designer in mechanics to join our team. You will be responsible for working on all stages of our production cycles, from research and design to manufacturing, installation, and evaluation.

Required skills and qualifications:

• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding;
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation;
• Highly skilled in metal fabrication (TIG welding, MIG Welding);
• Experience working with sheet metal;
• Experience in enclosure design: sheet metal, extruded frames, thermal management, safety;
• Strong welding, cutting, and measuring skills;
• Proficiency in engineering software as well as MS Word and Excel;
• Working knowledge of a variety of manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding;
• Ability to use various metal fabrication tools and equipment;
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings;
• Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Execute and support projects from inception, through design, review, build and deployment;
• Knowledge about materials and manufacturing processes; integration and testing.

Job Description:

• Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements;
• Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement);
• Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety;
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, basic mill/lathe machine tools, or a desire to learn;
• Able to transition between independent and group work;
• Deliver creative, innovative, effective solutions to challenging engineering problems;
• A compulsive problem solver; detail oriented and self-driven;
• Strong work ethic and the ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines;
• Flexibility to work both in the design office and on construction teams.

Specific objectives:

• Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements.
• Analyzing problems or deficiencies and developing solutions to resolve them.
• Creating plans and designs using CAD technology, Solidworks and other engineering programs.
• Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers and other engineers in our team.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Driving license category B is an advantage;
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is an advantage;
• Positive attitude, initiative.
