Description of the Role
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our on-premises and cloud teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud architecture, deployment, and management, with a focus on security and compliance. This role will require working in both a single and team environment making use of the ability to multi-task, the key requirement of this role is to be able to prioritize workloads and work to defined deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure cloud solutions to support our secure payment services.
- Migrate/replicate on-premises services to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Configure and manage Azure resources, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and web services.
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant standards in the cloud environment.
- Implement and manage security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration with our partners and operation of cloud services.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, best practices, and industry trends.
- Maintaining security patching levels within the cloud environment infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory: AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
- Mandatory: At least 1.5 years of hands-on experience with Azure.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with network configuration, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills (B2-C1)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
