Head of IT Infrastructure, Chișinău

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of IT infrastructure and database administration specialists;
• Plan tasks, monitor deadlines, and ensure work quality;
• Develop, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (server equipment, networks, storage systems);
• Administer databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and optimize their performance;
• Manage virtualization and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
• Ensure IT infrastructure security and compliance with data protection requirements;
• Plan and manage the IT department’s budget, including procurement of equipment and licenses.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years in managerial positions;
• Deep knowledge of server hardware, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), network infrastructure, and storage systems;
• Experience in database administration: SQL, replication, clustering, backup;
• Strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and experience managing technical teams;
• Experience in working with IT service providers and overseeing SLA compliance;
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus) is a plus;
• Higher education in IT, computer science, or related fields.
