Senior Data Specialist

Microinvest is a non-banking lending company with foreign capital, which offers loans to individuals and entrepreneurs from Republic of Moldova.
We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse (DWH) and

Business Intelligence (BI) professional to drive the enhancement of our analytics system, playing a critical role in shaping data-driven strategies that will fuel our continued growth and success. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of Microinvest’s data ecosystem. You will design and implement a centralized data warehouse and BI tools, equipping teams across the company with data insights that support strategic decision-making and promote a culture of innovation.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse design, development, and administration
• Strong experience in data analysis, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent data modeling and data integration skills.
• Strong communication and training abilities to work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with ETL processes and database management.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities:

       Project Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the analytics setup project.
• Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of milestones and manage project risks.
  
  Data Warehouse (DWH) Oversight:
• Manage the integration of new data sources into the DWH.
• Ensure daily data load processes are functioning smoothly and accurately.
• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain data quality, validation, and governance practices.
  
  BI Tools Implementation:
• Oversee the selection and implementation of modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Work with business units to design and build dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
• Train internal teams on BI tool usage and help them develop customized reports.
  
  Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze business data to generate actionable insights for decision-making.
• Continuously improve and optimize reporting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track business performance.
  
  Cultivating an Analytical Culture:
• Promote the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the company.
• Launch data literacy programs and provide ongoing support to employees.
• Foster collaboration between departments to ensure effective data usage and sharing
  
  Stakeholder Communication:
• Serve as the main point of contact for the analytics setup project.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Gather feedback from business units and adjust project plans accordingly.
  
  Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor the effectiveness of the new analytics setup and suggest improvements.
• Regularly review and update processes to adapt to business needs and industry trends.
• Keep up with the latest BI tools and technologies to ensure optimal solutions.
