ISD specializes in developing and delivering software solutions to businesses across the globe. Our focus is on ensuring a seamless experience for both our employees and clients, achieved through three key approaches: innovation, product development, and ongoing maintenance.
We are excited to expand our team by hiring a Cloud Developer for one of our major projects. Our Dutch client, a global leader in integrating computer vision and robotics into logistics and fulfilment systems, is looking for a skilled Cloud Developer to join their team.
In this role, you’ll be working with their Intelligence department, which has extensive experience in the postal and parcel industry.
Your responsibilities will include managing sorting center configurations, defining equipment parameters, orchestrating coding workflows, handling OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between customer backend systems, both locally and in the cloud. The core of the project is the Smart Sorting Platform, a highly sophisticated system that processes and centralizes sorting tasks. This platform must make accurate sorting decisions in a matter of milliseconds, allowing the client to analyze the data and optimize logistics processes on a national scale.
As a Cloud Developer (AWS + TypeScript), your role will be critical in ensuring that the AWS infrastructure supporting this platform is stable, scalable, and delivers top performance. If you're ready to take on this challenging and rewarding position, we encourage you to apply!
What do we expect from you?
- Over 2 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with any cloud provider. Experience with AWS and Serverless technologies is a big plus (Lambda, DynamocDB, EFS, S3, EventBridge, Kinesis, etc.);
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript for backend systems or previous experience with JavaScript or Python;
- Familiarity and expertise in event-driven architectures;
- Experience or eagerness to learn and work with CDK for deployment and infrastructure scripting;
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP);
- Advanced spoken and written English.
What are you going to do?
- Design and Develop Serverless Applications: Utilize AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, EFS, and S3 to create serverless applications, with a future goal of making the system cloud-agnostic.
- Enhance Sorting Processes: Integrate advanced logic into sorting processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Build and Test Code: Create unit and integration tests for the new logic you develop to ensure reliability.
- Manage CDK Stacks: Develop and update AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) stacks to facilitate testing and deployment of platform components.
- Implement Best Practices: Ensure that security, performance, and reliability standards are upheld throughout the development cycle.
- Resolve API Issues: Quickly identify and fix any API-related problems to maintain smooth operations.
- Document and Maintain: Thoroughly document designs, processes, and procedures to support ongoing development and future maintenance.
What is it in for you?
- Private health insurance;
- Sports compensation for gym memberships or online sports subscriptions;
- Flexible schedule;
- Education budget for Certifications, Courses, Training and Conferences (a part of the education budget can be spent on gadgets, that stay yours);
- Books budget;
- 5 pm Club – a concept developed by ISD to offer 1-hour every week for self-development, development of your ideas and/or presentations to the team to improve public speaking skills.
